In 2016, AKR committed to donate the share from its profit to children welfare society and women empowerment and skill development. Under textile skill development program AKR had trained 20,000 women to empower their family economy. As part of AKR’s Community Investment program, more than U.S. $0.5 million is being given to special community projects in India aimed at improving education, health care services and living conditions in the southern region of India
